The Hot spot in Harlem is Red Rooster

Since President Obama made a visit to the Red Rooster Restaurant in Harlem in March, and now you have to make a reservation in a month advance.  But, it's so worth it!

Located in the heart of Harlem, Red Rooster serves comfort food celebrating the roots of American cuisine and the diverse culinary traditions of the neighborhood. Named in honor of the legendary Harlem speakeasy, Chef Marcus Samuelsson brings his passion for food to the neighborhood he calls home.

Every Friday night, Red Rooster Harlem gets soulful, as DJ Damon spins classic R&B and soul jams starting at 8pm. Start the weekend off with favorites by the likes of Marvin, Aretha, Otis and more, as the drinks flow and the kitchen dishes out fried chicken (the Yard Bird), mac and cheese and more. The music, the food, the drinks and the atmosphere — it’ll put you in a Harlem mood and get the weekend started right!
